Francisco Calderon, the Director of Operations for Earthscapes, has a rich background in the landscape construction industry. He grew up in Bakersfield, California, and pursued his education at a local community college. In 2000, Francisco relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where he resided until 2003 when he joined the military. After completing his service, he returned to the Phoenix area in 2008.
With over 23 years of experience, Francisco originally learned the trade from his family’s experience in the industry. His journey to his current role has been driven by his unwavering dedication and hard work. As the Director of Operations, he manages field operations by closely collaborating with field superintendents and maintenance foremen to ensure project schedules are met and successfully executed.
In his career Francisco most enjoys seeing the transformation of projects from mere concepts to fully realized landscapes that can be enjoyed by everyone. He particularly enjoys the challenge of creating a successful turf installation schedule for parks at the onset of the season so that they result in a successful grow in.
Francisco will say his best advice to others is to “Do what is right and not what is easy.” In his free time, Francisco is a talented mechanic and enjoys working on vehicles when he is not spending time with his family.
