Micah, a Minnesota native, began his construction career in residential landscaping before serving in the Navy for five years.  After meeting his wife during deployment in Hawaii, they decided to move to her hometown in Arizona to start a family.

Micah started his career in construction as a teenager performing maintenance and landscaping projects in residential areas of Minnesota. In his transition to Arizona, he honed his troubleshooting and people skills at Vermeer Mountain West before finding his dream career at Haydon. He quickly joined the Earthscapes team to better utilize his four years of landscape experience.

Now as a Field Engineer for Earthscapes, Micah assists in all aspects of landscape projects. Whether it involves an in-depth knowledge of plant materials, handling RFI’s and timecards, or reviewing design plans for accuracy, Micah finds enjoyment in his work because of the opportunity to see projects grow from the ground up. He appreciates the amount of detailed work that goes into making any project look attractive and enjoys learning more and more about plant materials. While working at Earthscapes, Micah is pursuing a degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management at Grand Canyon University.

Micah’s biggest piece of advice is to “Slow down in life and don’t take the opportunities you receive for granted. Spend time with loved ones and enjoy what you have in front of you”. He takes this to heart by spending time with his family and being outside as much as possible while hiking, camping, fishing, and running.
